Popular Irish Sports Pub Expands to USC Village This Month
Rock & Reilly’s should debut by mid-October
Rock & Reilly’s is in the habit of opening around football season. The Irish sports pub did just that before opening the Downtown LA location in 2016, as with the Sunset Strip location in 2011. The restaurant group maintains this strategy with a new outlet opening this month in USC Village.
Rock & Reilly’s installs this formula of an Irish pub and sports bar into massive space, just like the locations in Park City, New York, and Las Vegas. The USC Village spot has an 8,000 square foot footprint, with an additional 2,000 square foot patio seating 50, and 30 TVs spread out among the bar, lounge, and restaurant.
Expect traditional pub fare and even a vegan menu. They’re hoping to appeal to nearby students with a grab-and-go service area for anyone in need of a quick meal. They’ll also keep 24 beers on tap.
Rock & Reilly’s fall entry is a strong move, especially after the sluggish summer season which saw businesses like Casa Barilla shutter. And while some non-student residents may not appreciate the selection of eateries in the 14-month old retail center, it’s a pupil’s paradise with Honeybird Fried Chicken, Trader Joe’s, Ramen Kenjo, Starbucks, and a Target within a small cluster.
Underground parking is free for three hours with validation. When it opens, hours will be from 11 a.m. until 2 a.m., with happy hour from Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
