Coffee Source Hopes to Start Roasting Beans and Serving Drinks in Studio City by January
The newcomers has big plans.
Prep yourselves for even more caffeine, Studio City, because Coffee Source is coming. But this time, the strip mall start-up has plans for something different.
Rather than being exclusively a multi-roaster morning shop with a few slick pastries and a nice machine, Coffee Source has plans to roast within its own facility, and sell their very own beans in-house. That means they’ll also be using their blends and single origin options to craft your next morning cup. As for drinks, expect the usual pourovers, drip coffees, and espresso options, with the latter being made on a La Marzocco GB5 machine.
The storefront sits in a strip mall space on Ventura Boulevard, the same one that currently houses longtime local favorite Reno’s Pizza. The location is a former hummus restaurant that had to be taken down to the studs in anticipation of its new life as a coffee destination. So far, there’s no official timetable for their opening, but work is underway and a January debut is hopeful.
