Our relationship with CalAsia started with a simple word-of-mouth recommendation from our neighbors at Sawtelle for our store #1.

We were at first very impressed with CalAsia’s experience. One look at their list of projects they’ve worked on and it will surprise you with who they’ve worked with.

During the bidding process we got to witness their attention to detail that they’ve amassed with their extensive experience building out all kinds of restaurants both big and small. This was crucial for first time restaurateurs like us.

Once construction began, their quality of work began to shine. From the way John handled big matters into calm, reassuring resolutions, to his awesome team who gave you realistic expectations and met deliverables(keeping project on track), to the actual execution of the build out itself, we were very impressed to say the least.

I am sitting in the dining room of Forman’s just prior to opening and I felt compelled to write you a note to acknowledge our working relationship for some eight years now. This is a spectacular looking space and everything is built to last. The design is phenomenal and the coordination of all your engineers and consultants seems to have been honed to a well‐oiled machine. Brian Kim as usual has taken care of us above and beyond any expectations.

We have now worked together on Laurel Tavern, Coffee Bar, The Black Boar, Place on Spring, Urbano Pizzeria, 6th Street Tavern, Forman’s, Beelmans and you built the kitchen for us at Library Bar. I can honestly say the process has improved on each consecutive build out.

Dear John,
I wanted to take the time to drop you a line and thank you for your efforts in getting both the Pizzeria and the Osteria up and running. It was a daunting task to decide on a contractor for this project since we were coming out of New York and had little more than references on builders local to LA. We are glad we made the choice to use CalAsia. You helped us get the permit through the city early, worked well with the local architect of record and aided Lisa our designer throughout the process. There were changes and additions made and we found CalAsia to be helpful in vetting out problems and executing the changes with minimal headaches.
