Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which means it’s high time to start planning the epic day of gluttony. For those looking to avoid the fuss that comes with preparing a traditional meal at home, Eater has compiled this list of 20 restaurants serving holiday meals on Thanksgiving Day at a range of price points. Have your phones ready, as reservations are booking up fast.
1 Bouchon
Thomas Keller’s bistro will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Its three course, $80 prix-fixe includes options like paté en croute, traditional Thanksgiving dinner with Diestel Family turkey and sides, steak frites, pumpkin pie, and Keller’s signature bouchons.
2 Bourbon Steak
Glendale’s Bourbon Steak offers a little something for everyone with its $59 (plus tax and tip) three-course menu. Menu highlights include butternut squash soup with toasted cinnamon roll croutons, lobster pot pie with brandied lobster cream, and, of course, Heritage turkey with sage stuffing. Each table selects three sides served family-style to compliment their meal.
3 Cafe Gratitude Arts District
Café Gratitude’s vegan Thanksgiving is offered to the community completely gratis. That’s right, stop in from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (or while still available) to get a free, 100% organic holiday meal, which includes raw pecan, cranberry, and apple stuffing; mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy; roasted vegetables; mixed greens with persimmon; and pumpkin pie.
4 Carbon Beach Club at Malibu Beach Inn
Thanksgiving here comes with Pacific Ocean views. A $72 prix-fixe includes an amuse, choice of appetizer, entrees like free range turkey and beef prime rib, two traditional sides, and a choice of pie.
5 Catch Santa Monica
Hotel Casa del Mar’s beachfront restaurant, Catch, is offering a three course prix-fixe for $90. The fare takes influence from the beachy setting with dishes like lobster cake with remoulade, but also includes classic dishes like rosemary roasted turkey and caramel apple cheesecake.
6 Crossroads Los Angeles
Vegans will feel welcome at Crossroads, which will be dishing up a four course prix-fixe for $75 with dishes like rosemary and hazelnut scaloppini, classic stuffing (gluten-free optional), and sweet potato biscuits.
7 FIG Santa Monica
This family-style four course meal by chef Yousef Ghalaini includes brown butter cauliflower soup, herb and citrus roasted turkey breast and braised leg, and caramelized apple bread pudding. The dinner is priced at $84 per person, with an optional $40 wine pairing. Seatings are from 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
8 Fogo De Chao
This restaurant with locations in Beverly Hills and Downtown will do Thanksgiving churrasco-style with turkey carved tableside, its traditional fire-roasted meats, and Brazilian takes on classic sides. Service is offered from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
9 Jar Restaurant
Suzanne Tracht’s LA classic offers a family-style dinner with turkey and traditional sides along with a choice of butter lettuce salad, chestnut chickpea soup, or oyster stew to start and a selection of desserts. Thanksgiving dinner is served from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and is $90 for adults and $45 for children 12 and under.
10 Mastro’s Ocean Club
Open for Thanksgiving for the first time ever, Mastro’s Malibu offers an unconventional take on the holiday with its steakhouse fare. With its sweeping ocean views and massive seafood towers (don’t forget the butter cake!) this is a Thanksgiving for the books.
11 Mélisse
One of the last players in Los Angeles’ fine dining game. Melisse offers an elevated take on the holiday for $95 per adult and $42 for children. The three course meal begins with an amuse and includes pumpkin soup, whole roasted dry-aged prime rib, a choice of three traditional sides, and concludes with pecan pie. The prix-fixe menu is available from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
12 Playa Provisions
Top Chef runner-up Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts’ Playa del Rey restaurant will serve dinner from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The affordable $30 meal comes with a choice of turkey or honey mustard crusted ham, and is served with chicory salad, cranberry sauce, green beans, maple yams, stuffing, acorn squash, and pumpkin pie.
13 Scarpetta
For those willing to splurge on the holiday, Scarpetta is offering a Thanksgiving buffet from noon to 5 p.m. for $108 per adult and $38 per child with a $22 per adult bottomless mimosas, Bloody Marys, and bellinis option. Think classic Scarpetta fare like housemade pasta and crudi, along with prime rib, porchetta, leg of lamb, and herb roasted turkey.
14 Sāmbār
Chef Akasha Richmond is putting an Indian spin on Thanksgiving fare with menu highlights that include roasted turkey breast porchetta “Tuscan-Indian” style, Akasha’s turkey tikka masala, tandoori roasted shiitake and crimini mushrooms with chaat masala, and chai spiced pumpkin pie. The buffet is offered at the affordable $48 per adult and $24 for children.
15 Tanzy
This Westwood restaurant is offering a relatively affordable $40 three course meal that includes parsnip and apple soup, endive and arugula salad, herb roasted turkey with sides, three pumpkin pie, and pink lady apple crisp. Head up to iPic Theaters right after and catch a movie while you digest.
16 Terrine
Chef Kris Morningstar is continuing the Terrine tradition of celebrating American holidays with all-you-can-eat buffets. Their first Thanksgiving will include traditional Thanksgiving fare from noon to 9 p.m. for $45.
17 The Bazaar by José Andrés
Those looking for a modern take on Thanksgiving will find a happy home a the Bazaar, which is offering a $79 prix fixe from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Diners have an option of Mary’s farm turkey or grilled seabream, with sides that include papas canarias, mashed sweet potatoes with passion fruit marshmallow, and Brussels sprouts with lemon air.
18 The Pikey
For the late night crowd, The Pikey will serve a complete Thanksgiving dinner with slow roasted turkey breast with turkey leg sausage or deep fried turkey leg with sides for $40 from 1 p.m. all the way to 2 a.m.
19 Viviane
One of LA’s newest restaurants by restaurateur Stephane Bombet and executive chef Michael Hung is serving an all-day Thanksgiving feast. The prix-fixe, family-style menu includes such elevated dishes as galantine of Diestel Farms turkey, wild mushroom and truffle brioche stuffing, and caramel pear tartine. Bonus points for Thanksgiving cocktails like the Sofa Sleeper with Wild Turkey 101 rye and cranberry cordial that come by way of bar manager Ryan Wainwright.
20 Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air
The Bel-Air crowd can save themselves the fuss of Thanksgiving dinner at Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air. From noon to 8 p.m., a four course meal will be available for $155 per person. Highlights include roasted pumpkin soup with cardamom cream, Heritage turkey, and traditional sides for the table.
