Orsa & Winston Gets Into the Lunch Game Tomorrow With Healthy Grain Bowls
Done with a Josef Centeno twist, of course.
Beginning tomorrow, Orsa & Winston is rolling out a new kind of downtown lunch option. Josef Centeno’s tasting menu restaurant offered a more casual yakitori-ya experience in recent months, which got the chef to thinking that now might be a good time to launch a lunch program.
Centeno says that he’s wanted to do lunch at Orsa & Winston since the start, but was waiting for the right idea to strike. With the successful yakitori-ya run under his belt, Centeno began thinking of Orsa & Winston as more of a research lab for concepts large and small, and from that jumping off point he hit on the notion of a quick service takeaway lunch for downtown weekday diners in a hurry.
Lunch at Orsa & Winston will consist of three grain bowl options only: one with seasonal vegetables, another topped with a rotating marinated fish crudo, and one with a beef curry that’s served over a blend of farro, Satsuki rice, barley and quinoa. Bäco Pop sodas, sake cups, and beer and wine will also be available to anyone who chooses to dine in.
Orsa & Winston’s forthcoming lunch options will run Tuesday through Friday only, from noon until 2 p.m.
