Seoul Sausage Co. Debuts Tonight in Little Tokyo With Makgeoli Cocktails and Dad Beers
The super cool space has a great inside-outside feel.
Seoul Sausage Co. hosted friends and family, plus a sleeper soft opening through Labor Day, offering an expanded version of their Little Tokyo menu. That means more than sausages in a bun, though their trademark is still the bedrock of the menu.
Officially opened today at 11:30 a.m., lunch hours run until 3:30 p.m., then dinner from 6 to 11 p.m. The full bill of fare still hasn’t been finalized, but expect a few fan favorites like Vinny’s fried chicken, which mixes adobo marinaded chicken with a spicy habanero honey slaw. There’s a kalbi burger topped with pickled fried onions and a fried egg (why not?), plus a banh mi sausage laced with chicken liver pate and mortadella.
The party extends to drinks, which includes classic soju and Hite pairings, if you’ve got a hankering for the K-Town life (even though we’re in Little Tokyo). Actually, the beer menu will reflect the kind of stuff your dad drank when you were growing up, like Hi Life, Coors, Schlitz, Miller Genuine Draft, and Budweiser. Add a shot of Black Velvet (yeah, that Canadian whiskey) for an extra $3, if you so desire. And the intoxicant menu boasts one aptly named Makgeoli Culkin, shaking Korea’s favorite unfiltered rice beverage with vodka and pamplemousse.
