Yes, dineLA is here again, which means there is no better time to try out that new restaurant that might otherwise break the bank. However, with over 300 restaurants participating, it can be an overwhelming task to sift through it all to find the real gems.That’s where Eater comes in. We’ve distilled the list down to 20 must-try restaurants that offer serious bang for your buck, whether it be a ritzy steakhouse or a little Thai newcomer that comes by way of a Portland chef. dineLA Restaurant Week is January 18-31, so it’s about time to start calling in those reservations.

1 Birch

Chef Brendan Collins is offering an extremely generous dineLA menu for only $39. To start, think options like beetroot tartare and chicken liver foie gras mouse. Entrée selections include roast salmon and Collins’ signature palm sugar glazed pork chops, and for dessert, there’s sticky toffee pudding or chocolate pots de crème with bombolini. What’s more?
